This hands-on workshop explores the power of Augmented Reality (AR) in the context of exhibition booths and brand activations. Participants will gain both conceptual and practical tools to envision, prototype, and pitch immersive AR experiences tailored to pharma and tech industry clients.

What We’ll Cover:

Session 1 – Understanding AR in Brand Environments

  • What is AR? Key terms and current capabilities
  • Examples of AR in exhibitions, retail, and live events
  • The role of AR in storytelling and product visualization
  • Case studies from leading brands

Session 2 – Designing for AR: Space, Interaction, Emotion

  • Planning AR layers for physical spaces
  • Balancing digital engagement with real-world materials
  • Emotional hooks and sensory layering
  • Tools for prototyping AR experiences: iPads, LEGO AR, Adobe Aero

Session 3 – Prototyping & Pitching

  • Quick-start guide to creating AR scenes with LEGO AR Studio or Adobe Aero
  • Tips for integrating 3D models, text, animation, and user interactions
  • Team project: concept and build a working AR prototype for a booth experience
  • Presentations and group feedback

Suggested Group Project:

“Bring the Booth to Life”:
Teams will create an AR-enhanced focal point for a fictional or real client booth. For example, a physical model that, when scanned, reveals product animations, interactive storytelling, or an invisible layer of digital information through the iPad screen.
